The Home-Based Learning Society of Alberta, HLSA, is a non profit society organized by volunteers who are interested in home education It is a longstanding support group that has been in existence since 1993.
HLSA is an inclusive, secular community that promotes home-based learning as a viable, effective educational option. HLSA provides information and support to all families that have children learning at home and in the community irrespective of learning approach, lifestyle, ethnic or religious background.
Over the years, HLSA has grown into a vibrant community with a strong spirit of volunteerism and a history of traditional annual celebrations and activities for the home based learning family.
HLSA provides various platforms whereby members can gather information, as well as communicate and share with each other about all matters of interest to the home based learning family.
